Design a Mascot for NI's Under 19 Women's Football Team

u19-logoAs part of the legacy programme for the UEFA Under 19 Women's Championship (2017) the Irish FA is asking all children of primary school age to design a mascot for the tournament.

This unique opportunity will involve the creation of a full size mascot costume based on the winning design that will visit a variety of engagement and legacy projects in the lead up to, and during, the Championship. The winning design will also be digitalised and used in a number of publications and promotional items relating to the tournament.

Activ8 60x60 Challenge - Go Outdoors Winners!

gaelscoil winnersThe Activ8 60x60 Challenge – Go Outdoors ran from Monday 23rd September to Friday 25 October 2013. The winners were:

1st - Gaelscoil Na MBeann, Kilkeel

2nd - St Joseph's Primary School, Carryduff

3rd - Maralin Village Primary School

Get Set For Community Action

championGet Set for Community Action is a new programme which aims to strengthen relationships between schools and their local community.

Funded through Big Lottery, the programme is being managed by Edcoms with the Youth Sport Trust supporting the schools recruitment and delivery.

beactiveThe European Week of Sport aims to promote sport and physical activity across Europe. The week is for everyone, regardless of age, background or fitness level. With a focus on grassroots initiatives, it will inspire Europeans to #BeActive on a regular basis and create opportunities in people’s everyday lives to exercise more.

#BeActive kids can be smarter, healthier and more confident.

The event seeks to create an inspirational and motivational setting that not only provides our elite young sports people with the opportunity to thrive and perform at the highest levels, but encourages more young people to take part and succeed in sport.
